Furniture – if you have furniture in the room that the flooring is going to be placed in you will need to think about where this is going to go whilst it is installed. Where possible you should pack up items and move furniture in advance so that on installation day the floor engineers can get in and get your old flooring up and start the job as soon as possible.
Access – as well as thinking about what furniture and other items will need to be moved from the room you also need to think about whether you need access to that space. For example if you have an open plan kitchen and dining area and are having flooring put in across the whole space then you will need to think about how you will access the kitchen and whether you need to plan meals in a different way whilst the floor is being put in place.
Pets – if you have any pets you will need to keep them out of the way whilst the floor is being put in place. You might have to also consider how they might feel with a lot of noise and people in your home and prepare and plan for this as needed.
