Jewellery, like watch components, are often kept in settings and on chains. Human skin is naturally oily, so to clean these items, an ultrasonic bath is perfect for removing oils and grime from items made from gold, silver and platinum, but not for softer stones like opals and pearls.
Medical and Dental Instruments
Reusable medical and dental instruments such as forceps, medical probes, and other similar objects need to be thoroughly decontaminated before being sterilized. Often ultrasonic cleaning is used prior to the sterilization process in order to thoroughly clean the intricate surfaces and remove any biological residue.

Delicate Electronics
PCB’s, Printed Circuit Boards, can be cleaned using an ultrasonic cleaner to remove flux from the soldered joints. The correct cleaning solution must be used and the settings on the ultrasonic cleaner i.e. frequency and temperature, must be within the tolerance of the component(s) being cleaned.
